Art for the OWL!
This is Almond Blossom by Van Gogh. On January 31, 1890, Theo van Gogh announced the birth of his son to Vincent van Gogh in a letter. The boy was named after Vincent, so Van Gogh created a piece with his brother’s favorite subject matter: blossoming branches against the blue sky. The painting was meant to be a gift for the newborn.
If you have a poem, story, artwork or other writing that you would like to share with us, we would love to receive submissions from subscribers and ABC students for us to share. Please fill out this form in order to have your piece featured on the next Dispatch from the Bat Mobile and in the next issue of the OWL Newsletter!
