Banned books week was in October! the 1-7th, it’s celebrating the right to read.
In January, Austin Bat Cave will be offering a Freedom to Read advocacy workshop for students in 7th-12th grade to learn more about book bans in Texas and how to advocate for themselves. This will be a free virtual workshop and you can sign up here!

Art For the OWL
November is Native American Heritage Month. This month is a time to recognize the history, culture, and contributions of Indigenous people, though it is also a reminder that Indigenous artists and creators are telling stories throughout the year! The purpose of this month is to call attention to the culture, traditions, and achievements of the nation's original inhabitants and of their descendants.
